Recently, I met & photographed my very first “Tiny Light“.
This is Parker. Parker is 7 years old, and was diagnosed with Autism in March of 2006. He later was also diagnosed with having severe bilateral sensorineural hearing loss..jpg "ParkerTL5")
Parker quite often will have something in his mind, and can’t easily let go of it...jpg "ParkerTL9-2")
On this particular day, we had gone outside from the welcome center to start taking photos. Things were going pretty well, I thought.
But his Mom just felt he was after something.
After a short while of taking some pictures, we went back up to the welcome center to warm up.
Parker immediately went for the rack of hangers that was standing near the entrance.
That was it. That was what he was after. ”If only we knew, Parker!” his Mom exclaimed.
(Hangers are one of his favorites.)To peer into that mind, to see what he sees, feel what he feels. Even if for a minute.Parker stole my heart quickly with his smirking glances and bashful expressions, as he held his hand out to take hold of mine.Thank you for allowing me even just a glimpse of your world, Parker.
